Our Mission

To provide a safe, loving environment where young children access quality early care and educational experiences to help them grow to their fullest potential, and where families build enriching, long-lasting relationships.

Sweet Spirits’ early education program prepares children and families for Kindergarten and the future beyond. As a childcare center in Jackson, Wyoming, we provide a unique educational approach through our blended Nature Explore and Waldorf-inspired curriculum, applicable to birth through Pre-K. The day is structured with an emphasis on schedules and routines. Play is both child-directed and teacher-led and varies in length and method of play. Teachers use picture cues to accompany the written schedule and update it throughout the day as activities unfold. The children have ample opportunities outdoors and indoors to explore science, art, music, yoga, dance, skiing, bike riding, fishing, cooking, hiking, and park play! Older children will take field trips to the library, wildlife and children’s museums, grocery stores, and other local locations like ski resorts and playgrounds, with parent permission. We get outside and DO STUFF! We invite special guests from the fire, health, and police department to guide our children through valuable safety lessons, and smart decision making. Throughout the year, our children enjoy birthday celebrations and festive gatherings to bring everyone together and build a community around different cultures and experiences. Sweet Spirits creates memorable experiences in a positive and nurturing environment.

Owner’s Biography

Jennifer Wolf grew up in Wilmington, Delaware, and then attended Sweet Briar College in Virginia. Upon graduating with a major in Environmental Studies and a minor in Biology, Jennifer headed West for a Naturalist Educator position in Grand Teton National Park. After working in GTNP, Jennifer accepted the position of Program Coordinator for an after-school program at The Presbyterian Church of Jackson Hole. Seeing Jennifer’s talent for serving youth, a friend and mentor encouraged Jennifer to establish her own early childhood education program. In 2009, Sweet Spirits opened its doors to the Jackson Hole community. Jennifer believes that every day is a chance to learn, and grow, and she is very excited about what is in store for the future of Sweet Spirits. When Jennifer is not spending time helping kids learn and grow, she enjoys downhill and backcountry skiing with her soon to be husband Alan Smith, adventuring with her two dogs Quinn and Sarah.
